Ross Johnston
Treasurer

I started volunteering with Carevan in 2016 and joined the committee later in that year as a general member. I then took on the Treasurer’s role after the role became vacant.  I wanted to volunteer with the Carevan as I see it as a wonderful innitiative run by the local community to serve those in the community that are in need of the basic neccessity of a regular healthy meal.

As Treasurer I’m impressed by the generosity of the Wangaratta community in donating their time, food, other items and money to enable the service to run fully independent of any Government or other funding reliance.

If you’re considering making a real difference to your community then I really recommend you put your hand up to be a volunteer, it’s only a couple of hours every 6 weeks or so and the results are invaluable.
