Anglicare - Loaves and Fishes
Some in the Wangaratta Community will have heard by now that Anglicare Victoria is withdrawing from operating in North East Victoria and this means that support that has been provided to enable the Loaves and Fishes – Christians Caring emergency relief program will also be withdrawn.
That support will conclude on the 31st December 2025 and the office will no longer be open after that date. In the meantime, Loaves and Fishes will continue to offer support to the Wangaratta community.
The Loaves and Fishes Committee is currently investigating options to see what will be able to be offered beyond the end of this year.
The Salvation Army has funding for provide Emergency Relief Support for Wangaratta and they can be contacted on 03 8873 5288. This service is available now and any community member in need can call. This will be ongoing.
In the short term the Anglicare office will be closed the week of 27-31 October due to staffing issues.
