Farming is more than hard work — it’s about working smart

When you work smart, you’re better equipped to navigate tough seasons, make confident decisions, stay positive, maintain energy, and sustain strong relationships. These skills aren’t optional — they’re essential for running a profitable, resilient farm business

North East CMA invites women working in agriculture to an inspiring, energising forum designed to help you reconnect, learn practical strategies, and recharge. Spend the day with like‑minded rural women as you step away from the busyness of day‑to‑day farming and take a strategic look at both your farm performance and personal resilience.

Cost: $20 per person - Includes lunch, workshop sessions and takehome resources. Drinks available at bar prices.

Dress code: Smart casual

What to expect

  • A hands‑on, practical workshop with Cynthia Mahoney (pictured below), sharing proven tools used by top performers — including how to sustain energy, manage stress, and optimise your business even during the toughest seasons
  • Time and space to reflect, reset, and refocus on what really matters
  • A delicious networking lunch with trade displays, providing opportunities to connect with other rural women and local support organisations.

Choose your recharge session After lunch, shift the focus to your personal wellbeing by selecting ONE of three concurrent sessions when you book your ticket:

  • Restorative yoga with Julie Connolly from Find Balance Yoga (below left) - Limited to 20 places
This beginner-friendly restorative yoga session creates space to reconnect with your breath and body. Through gentle stretching and breathing techniques, you'll feel calmer, grounded, and re-energised. No fancy yoga clothes required.
  • Resilient garden design with landscape designer Jenny Kjar (below centre) - Limited to 30 places
Explore how green spaces can support wellbeing on-farm - even during busy periods and intense seasons in north-east Victoria. This session covers practical ideas on garden design, and balancing aesthetics with sustainability and environmental outcomes.
  • Nature journaling with Linda Syers from River Arts (below right) - Limited to 25 places
Discover the practice of recording observations in the natural world through words and simple sketches. This session builds curiosity, mindfulness and a deeper understanding of your surroundings - no artistic experience required.

Walk away feeling supported, refreshed, and better equipped for both farm and life.
