“Sable Park”   Open Garden 2025 to raise funds for Carevan Wangaratta Inc. 

PUT IT IN YOUR DIARY! Come and enjoy these magnificent gardens that are open to the public annually. 

DEVONSHIRE TEA available to enjoy in between strolling the gardens. MG Club will be there on Saturday - come and appreciate these beautiful vehicles which will be on display.

Les and Rosemary Bolitho welcome the community to their beautiful “Sable Park “ 185  Lindner Road , Wangaratta property on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of October, 2025 from 10am  until 4pm each day.  

“Sable Park”Open Garden is held to promote Carevan Wangaratta Inc. with all proceeds going to this worthy cause. 

Visitors will enjoy the tranquillity of this five acre garden as they take in the water features, 700 Roses and extensive Iris display. The garden has returned with vigour - after a long, hot and dry summer – followed by a cold and relatively dry winter due to scant rainfall. The ‘green drought’ has effected many of the trees and plants. There will also be an abundance of pretty spring flowers, shrubs and majestic trees to delight the senses. 

Other attractions will include the wonderful Devonshire Teas produced by the Carevan volunteers, a display of metal sculptures produced by Sam Anderson,and a variety of classic cars.  

A limited edition 2026 “Sable Park” calendar is also available which features thirteen views of the magnificent “Sable Park” garden.  

Toilets and seating will be available for those who require it. 

The boardwalk on the Willows Pond has new plantings and new areas of plantings have been added. You can hear the dulcet tones of the tonal wind chimes, and see the amazing Mandala crafted by Sam Anderson. 

Carevan Wangaratta’s Jennefer Houghton thanks Les and Rosemary for their ongoing support of Carevan, and encourages the community to come and enjoy the garden and help to raise awareness of  the important work of Carevan Wangaratta which provides free, healthy meals to people in need from their van in Apex Park four nights each week from Monday to Thursday. 

“We’re a non-government organisation which is solely funded by the community and run by volunteers who generously give up their time four nights a week to help people in the community.” 

The “Sable Park” garden – at 185 Lindner Rd, Wangaratta- will be open on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October, 2025 between 10am and 4.00pm. 

 Limited Edition 2026 Calendars will be available for $20.  

Entry fee is $10.  Wonderful Devonshire teas are available, and several raffles will be held by Inner Wheel. All proceeds will be directed to Carevan Wangaratta Inc. Enquiries to Les Bolitho 0418 574 463
