Wangaratta Artists Society

The Wangaratta Artists Society Inc. provides a gathering place for artists from Northeast Victoria.

The Studio serves as a workspace for artists to pursue their artistic endeavours in their preferred medium.  Although not a traditional gallery, we host two annual exhibitions: The Easter Unframed Exhibition and The Melbourne Cup Weekend Annual Art Exhibition.

These exhibitions offer our members the opportunity to showcase and sell their artwork. They serve as fundraisers for our society, which operates as a non-profit organisation. The Studio has been running since 1962.

• For individuals interested in exploring our studio's offerings, we host "come and try" days open to the public.
• Workshops featuring accomplished artists who provide instruction to our society over the course of a weekend. These workshops are accessible to both our members and the public.
• The Studio accommodates various groups who convene on a weekly basis, focusing on their individual artistic pursuits utilizing a range of mediums.

Our members are eager to share their expertise and skills in an informal environment we do not feature a designated instructor. Prospective artists are encouraged to join our society, our organization operates on a membership basis, requiring individuals to obtain a membership to the studio.

Our Artists stay informed about studio events, exhibitions and opportunities through our new website, email, Facebook, monthly newsletter and connections with other art societies.
